Why “Lingham”?
Marie Lingham taught at Rolph Street Public School from 1959 - 1975. She was known for teaching kindergarten in the basement of the school. Many generations of students fondly remember Lingham; "Mrs. Lingham was my favourite teacher while I was at Rolph Street." Another former student sang and spoke at her retirement party years after graduating from Rolph Street.
